Lakeland Estates Homeowners Association - LEHOA
This website has been created for our organization to assist all members in having one common source where homeowners may go to obtain
current association news regarding activities and events. It is available to all LEHOA members who have paid their annual membership fee for
the current year. Annual dues are $15.00 per year per homeowner to be paid by March 15 of each year. If you still haven't paid them but want
to be an active and current member you may mail your payment at any time to our Treasurer, Mr. Edgar Currier, at 4185 Cedar Point Rd.,
Lakeland, TN 38002. Members who have paid their dues each year who are considered current and active members may join us for our
meetings and vote on issues affecting our organization. This site will be updated periodically to keep everyone informed of events, activities,
and issues in our neighborhood. It will also be available for you to contact the officers or board members when you have questions or concerns
about our neighborhood and/or organization.
Lakeland Estates is composed of the following streets: Oak Point Circle, Oak Point Cove, Sequoia Point Cove, Elm Point Cove, Maple Point
Cove, Larch Point Cove, Blue Spruce Drive, Blue Spruce Bend, Blue Spruce Circle, Cedar Point Road, Pine Point Drive, Pine Point Cove, Blue Cedar Cove, Yellow Cedar Cove, Red Cedar Cove, White Cedar Cove, White Spruce Drive, White Spruce Cove, Green Spruce Drive, Green Spruce Bend and Canada Rd.
LEHOA meets twice per year with a meeting in the spring and another in the fall. We've decided that we are going to try and keep these on a
regularly consistent basis with one in April and one in October. This will make it more beneficial for our homeowners as they plan for vacations
during these two seasons of the year and still still are able to be an active participant in our association meetings.
Fall Meeting Update: Our first meeting back on June 22, the first after about a three year hiatus, proved to be a huge success with about 75
members attending! Our fall meeting (October 20) was also a success although our attendance was less with about 40 members present. We're
not quite sure what happened to our numbers but we are hoping that since fall always brings "hurried days of back to school activities" as well as
the soon approaching Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays that maybe that had something to do with it! Anyway, we really appreciate all of you
who made the effort to attend and want those of you who couldn't make it...for whatever the reason...that hopefully we will see you at our next
meeting in the spring! Just to let you know what you missed: Once again, we had another "light lunch" prior to our meeting. This time we enjoyed
chili and hotdogs cooked by our very own, Bob Helms. He and Sharon worked on the chili all day Saturday but Bob was the one who "taste tested"
it to get all those seasonings just right! Desserts, a selection of cookies and brownies, were provided by officers and board members and included
Sandra Debardeleben, Alison Ely, Pam Golden, Sharon Helms, Barbara Taylor, and Caroline Tinner. Although we had had three guest speakers at
our June meeting and none at our fall meeting, this gave us an opportunity to spend more of our meeting time discussing issues and concerns of
our current association members. We found that there are quite a few issues we need to address such as the upcoming changes with our 2014
Fireworks, issues related to non-occupied homes and/or potential or actual deterioration of properties within our community and the negative impact
this can have on property values and the current need for improvements to our boat ramp and "beach" area that surrounds it. LEHOA officers are
currently investigating and working behind the scenes to obtain more detailed information so that we can hopefully be able to address these issues
and concerns. We are also anxiously looking forward to our future and the continued success of our homeowners association. But, in order to do
this, we need and want everyone in our community to join us and be a part! Our sincere thanks and gratitude is extended to each of you who
attended our meetings! None of this can be done without your support, encouragement and participation!
We also extend our gratitude and sincere thanks to the following sponsors who helped by donating money/food/door prizes:
Arlington Kroger on Hwy. 70 in Arlington, TN
Hwy 64 Kroger in Bartlett, TN (our old "Lakeland" Kroger)
Gateway Tires on Hwy. 64 in Lakeland, TN
